The BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition

A small group of students from year 9 and year 11 travelled to Dublin to the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition accompanied by Mr Waters and Miss Ferris. The Exhibition itself is the final stage of the BT Young Scientist competition, which is open to all secondary level students from Ireland, both north and south. As well as over 300 pupil projects on display, there were a further four exhibition halls filled with science and technology based exhibits and entertainment, making it a fun filled event for our girls who travelled.

The annual event attracts over 50,000 people every year with around 1,100 pupils competing for the top prize.

The girls have now started to consider their own group projects for next year’s event after being inspired by their experience this week – watch this space!
