ICT Voting Activity

ICT Voting Activity

Pupils in Junior ICT classes took part in an online voting activity to elect members of the new UK Youth Parliament.  Each pupil was given a unique voter identification number and read the candidates’ online Manifestos before casting their votes for the candidate of their choice.  The pupils also selected the topics that they felt the Youth Parliament should tackle in the upcoming year.  Note one of the pupils standing for election this year is a fellow pupil in St Dominic’s.  The aim of the UK Youth Parliament is to provides opportunities for 11-18 year olds to use their elected voice to bring about social change through meaningful representation and campaigning.
