Geography Club Eco-Project – 2nd May 2018
Year 9 students had the opportunity to participate in a Geography Club Eco-Project in conjunction with Belfast City Council. They planted native trees and wildflowers at Half Moon Lake, helping to create habitat for wildlife and also offsetting their carbon footprint at the same time. They also helped to launch Greenpeace’s ‘Drastic Plastic Campaign’ which aims to reduce our dependence on plastic due to the detrimental effects it is having on our environment and wildlife. Students will be taking part in the Eco-project over the next three weeks.
