St Dominic’s ICT Department ran another successful Queen’s Code Champions day for the year 13 Digital Technology pupils on 20th December. 2 undergraduates from Queen’s Computing Department – Jack Murphy and Shannon Murray delivered the sessions. It started at 9am where Jack and Shannon tested the pupils’ knowledge on C sharp. This is part of the AS course in Digital Technology. They completed tasks which covered testing the pupils on data types, variables, loops and arrays. After break Jack and Shannon gave the girls some challenges based on Christmas themes. It was a very successful Coding day and the girls really enjoyed it. Credit goes to the year 13 Digital Technology pupils for giving up a day of their Christmas Holidays to attend. It was a very worthwhile day and the pupils got a lot out of it as well as had fun along the way. Jack and Shannon are currently studying Computing at Queen’s and are in their final year.
