Eco-Club Litter Pick in Falls Park in conjunction with Friends School, Lisburn, 27th Feb 2019

16 Year 9 and 10 students from St Dominic’s and 20 Year 11 and sixth years from Friends School met in the Falls Park to conduct a litter pick as part of their on-going environmental activities. The group spend the afternoon picking up litter and managed to collect 10 bags of litter which Belfast City Council will remove from the park. The two schools are partners in Shared Education, and this has been a very worthwhile event and the groups hope to work together in the near future. Afterwards the groups had some well-earned hot chocolate and cream buns back at the school courtesy of the canteen! The Andersonstown News also came to take pictures of the student’s efforts.
