Kaila Patterson

Kaila Patterson has been chosen as a finalist in Northeastern University London's Essay Competition for Lower Sixth students. Kaila submitted her essay in the English Literature category on the topic:

"How important is it to be able to relate to literary characters, their values and their world?" 

I am so delighted to be a finalist in the competition. Writing this essay allowed me to widen my understanding of the subject, explore a topic I am passionate about and think critically about a variety of novels and plays. I'm very grateful for opportunities like this in the English Department and for all of the support!
