Mock Magistrates Competition

This is an opportunity available to Year 9 & 10 students only. Run through the Young Citizens ‘citizenship experiences’ it helps improve young people’s understanding of the justice system and the legal system as they take on the roles of barristers, witnesses and court staff in a fictitious court case against other schools. Auditions take place in December followed by weekly practice for the Northern Ireland final of the competition which is usually held on the first or second Saturday in March. St. Dominic's have won the NI final 4 times since they first entered the competition in 2010.
