Our GCSE Art students enjoyed an inspiring day at the Seamus Heaney HomePlace with one of Belfast’s esteemed artists, Sarah Longley, who showed some of her work and discussed inspiration and methods.
The natural surroundings of the artist’s home in north-west Highlands of Scotland provide her with a continuous stimulus, and her work is held in public and private collections throughout Europe.
Students toured the centre’s exhibition and attended a talk given by Sarah in the Helicon theatre space. What a treat for these young artists!
