We were successfully awarded our second green flag on 19th June 2024. This award will run for 2 years.
This programme is very much a whole school effort and for the last two years the focus has been ‘Global Perspective’, with the smaller strands of ‘Climate Action’ and ‘Biodiversity’. All the work the school is doing on these areas was submitted including: the work conducted with our Newcomer students, Politics in Action/Climate Action, Habitat for Humanity, volunteering as well as all the on-going work of the Eco-Club. The Eco Club represented the school at the awards ceremony where they received the Green Flag from Anna Green (Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful), the mayor of Belfast, Micky Murray was also in attendance.
