The Final Degree

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Trócaire competition success for Ella, Meabh and Niamh, who made it to the All-Ireland finals of The Right Focus documentary-making competition.

The three Year 13 students, accompanied by their Media Studies teacher Mrs Higgins, attended the awards ceremony at the Lighthouse Cinema in Dublin on 6th May 2026, where they were awarded an impressive 3rd place.

Their powerful documentary explored climate change and how it disproportionately affects women and children around the world, highlighting both the human impact of the crisis and the importance of global awareness and action.

Congratulations to Ella, Meabh and Niamh on this outstanding achievement and for representing the school so brilliantly.
