St. Dominic’s Year 13 Politics in Action group were invited to Queen’s University Belfast yesterday to attend the keynote address of Senator George Mitchell entitled ‘Passing the Torch – political activism through culture and the arts.’ This event was attended by hundreds of students, MLAs, TDs as well as former politicians of the Good Friday Agreement era. Several of our students were also interviewed by BBC and RTÉ about their experience of the day and their thoughts on the future of Northern Ireland. Well done to Ciara Murray, Beth Murphy and Emily McCusker!
