Once again St Dominic’s are a Get Set for Community Action Champion School 2023.
As part of this role a class of Year 9 RE students were invited to trial a pilot programme entitled ‘Breaking Barriers’ designed by UK Paralympic athletes and educators, to explore societal barriers facing disabled people. The pupils completed a series of lessons and activities. We modified the programme with pupils presenting a ‘Factivism’ poster exploring barriers individuals face within society to complete the scheme. Pictured are a sample of our pupils’ super posters.
