Year 10 Pupils Brew Up Business Ideas with Hatch Coffee Shop

Our Year 10 students have been busy brewing up creative ideas as part of an exciting enterprise project in collaboration with Hatch coffee shop and the Innovation Factory.

This week, pupils took part in an engaging design thinking workshop led by the Innovation Factory, where they learned how to develop and pitch original marketing concepts. Their challenge? To create a brand-new summer drink for Hatch—one that’s both refreshing and marketable.


Students worked in teams to research trends, brainstorm ingredients, develop branding, and plan their sales strategies. Tomorrow, they’ll step into the spotlight and pitch their ideas to a panel of ‘dragons’—a group of staff and industry experts ready to put their business acumen to the test.


The stakes are high: the winning team will have the unique opportunity to bring their drink to life and see it served in Hatch coffee shop!
