10C Visits The Ulster Museum
On Wednesday 15th April, 10C visited The Ulster Museum to view the art galleries and enjoy the Ashes to Fashion exhibition. 10C pupils have been working on an Ekphrastic Poetry project in English class that has included paintings created by artists such as Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Van Eyck and Breughal, complimented by corresponding poems by Paul Durcan, Michael Fields, Anne Sexton, WH Auden, Maureen Boyle and others. World Book Day 2026
St Dominic’s celebrated World Book Day 2026 with a range of literacy activities across the school, including games, reading sessions and quizzes designed to encourage a love of reading among pupils. This year’s theme focused on Women’s World Books, with students exploring texts and resources that highlighted the achievements of trailblazing Irish women. Pupils had the opportunity to learn about influential female figures from a variety of fields while engaging in discussions
